Tell us about your Edelman journey.
I began my Edelman journey 15 years ago as an HR Assistant in the Seattle office. From the start, I was drawn to Edelman for the scale of impact and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful work. I was eager to join a company that not only values creativity but cares about its people. Over the years, I've continued to build my experience as a People Partner, supporting various markets and U.S. specialty pools, helping to build new teams, and assisted in many initiatives and programs to help support the needs of our people. Some of the most meaningful moments in my journey have been when I helped the firm navigate unprecedented challenges, like the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent LA fires. Today, I’m the People Partner for our West Coast markets and U.S. New Business team, and love that I get to stay close to my West Coast roots while continuing to have impact to the broader U.S. team.
You were nominated for Culture Champion by your colleagues – how do you foster a collaborative and respectful culture within your team?
I believe everyone brings something unique to the table, and we bring out the best in people when we value them as individuals. Fostering a culture of collaboration and respect starts with seeing, hearing, and appreciating others for who they are, not just for what they contribute professionally. This recognition really means a lot because culture is something we all build together. I try to lead with empathy, staying connected and creating an environment where people feel supported.
How does your personal background play a role in your professional life?
I’ve always been drawn to creating meaningful experiences, whether it’s through my work or even the side hustles I’ve taken on, like organizing yoga retreats to travel more or starting a floral business just because I wanted to be surrounded by beauty and do something creative! That same mindset carries into my role here - connecting people, understanding what experiences they want to create for themselves, and finding ways to support that. At the end of the day, our personal and professional lives are deeply connected, and I try to bring that perspective into my work.
When you think about the future of Edelman, what does it look like for you?
I see Edelman continuing to grow in ways that are both innovative and people focused. We’ve always been a company that evolves with the world around us, and I’m excited about how we’ll continue shaping a workplace that fosters both impact and inclusivity.
You recently organized a donation drive to support those affected by the recent LA wildfires. Can you share a bit more about this experience?
This effort was truly inspired by the LA team. When the fires started, our office chat became a space where people were checking in, offering support, and sharing resources in real time. It was incredible to witness that level of care. When things settled, those same conversations quickly turned to ways we could help—people were sharing volunteer opportunities and donation needs. I just helped connect the dots, creating an easy way for those in other markets to contribute to what the LA team was already doing. It was a reminder of how powerful our community is when we come together.
