Julia Christenson

Julia Christenson is the US Chair for Edelman’s Workplace Advisory practice. She has 20+ years of experience helping clients design and activate compelling employee engagement programs for global transformations aimed at driving engagement, connection and fueling purpose. Julia has deep subject matter experience in strategic transaction communications including training, change management, crisis support, and leadership engagement.

Julia’s background spans many industries with a strong focus in compelling employee storytelling. Her client roster includes Eli Lilly, CVS, John Deere, PepsiCo, Airbnb, Rocket Mortgage, LegalZoom, Merck, Pfizer, Cargill, Hilton, Henry Ford, Kindred, McGraw Hill and Prudential. Through her work, Julia has developed many leading employee experience capabilities including employee sentiment dashboards, manager trainings, go-to-market message plans, and culture roadmaps.

Prior to joining Edelman, Julia was a leader in the People Advisory Services practice at EY where she helped to lead their M&A Communications and Change practice. While at EY, Julia led the development of an end-to-end M&A employee engagement toolkit and led training on employee communications including tactics for managing global implementations. Prior to EY, Julia worked at IBM in organizational change management in managing the IBM Innovation Jams / employee crowdsourcing social media events and has experience as a marketing specialist / lead for Marsh & McLennan and Banana Republic.

Julia received her BA from Northwestern University in Communications / Marketing and her MBA from William & Mary.
